Multi Skilled Engineer

Multi Skilled Engineer required due to increased projects, the candidate should come from a manufacturing/factory environment (preference given to those from Print and Packaging) the multi skilled engineer should ideally be qualified electrically with good mechanical skills and able to read schematics and fault find so a good knowledge of PLCs and inverters as well as control and safety logic although not required to program.

This position is NOT electrical installations wiring of factories etc. The candidate will need a can do and willing attitude and be flexible as work schedules are governed by our customers. Our business is primarily machinery relocations, dismantling uplifting and re installing equipment within the UK but occasionally Europe and worldwide.

Full training will be given on the equipment required to relocate machinery. You would be working in a small team and working away from home would be expected and required, this is typically Monday to Friday however weekend work would also be required when required but we respect the work/life balance. Salary is dependent on skills and experience as this position is equally open to someone starting out their career as well as someone who has much more skills and experience.

In addition to the salary each night away the company will pay £35 per night (£25 of which is tax free). Candidate must be within a reasonable distance to Ilkeston for early starts although you will also be able to travel to sites from home depending on the project and most suitable logistics.

A company works van will be made available from our base in DE7 6AZ so a clean driving licence is required. The job is rewarding mentally seeing projects through dismantling something into many pieces and re building and commissioning.
